The Emirates Journalists Association and the UAE Safe Internet Association have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing the partnership in promoting a culture of safe and responsible internet use, and protecting younger generations from digital risks, enabling them to make the most of the digital world. The agreement was signed by President of the Emirates Journalists Association, Fadila Al-Maini, and President of the UAE Safe Internet Association, Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhais, at the headquarters of the Emirates Journalists Association in Abu Dhabi. Al-Maini indicated that the agreement reflects the association's keenness to enhance community awareness through the use of various traditional and digital media tools, and to spread a culture of safe internet use, which contributes to protecting the target groups, especially the youth, from digital risks and harmful practices. Dr. Abdullah Al-Muhais explained that the agreement comes in response to the growing challenges related to the safety of internet use, amid the spread of smart devices and means of accessing the network, along with the risks that affect children and youth in their educational, social, and professional fields.
